Dr. Chaney engages her patients in a thorough evaluation process, thinks comprehensively about the many variables that could contribute to their challenges, and collaborates with them to determine the best treatment plan.
Dr. Chaney provides both therapy and medication management with many of her patients. She also enjoys working as part of a treatment team and will collaborate closely with other therapists, primary care physicians, teachers, and families to provide an integrated treatment approach.
Our medication management services offer a personalized approach. When medications are indicated, Dr. Chaney provides essential education and will take time to carefully review the risks, benefits, and alternatives to treatment.
Dr. Chaney is skilled at combining various therapeutic styles to find a good fit for each patient. She readily forms therapeutic relationships with true concern for each individual and family.
Dr. Chaney has trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, family therapy, and other modalities.
Telepsychiatry offers a wonderful way to access psychiatric care in the convenience of your home or desired location. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, telepsychiatry provides an excellent option for obtaining ongoing psychiatric care and support without having to take additional medical risks.
Dr. Chaney is currently conducting all appointments via telepsychiatry due to COVID-19. She looks forward to returning to in person visits when it is considered medically appropriate to do so.

Please call to make an appointment. Dr. Chaney will return your phone call and provide a brief phone consultation free of charge to assess if our services are appropriate for your needs. You will then be scheduled with an initial appointment. Prior to your appointment time, you will receive an email to review and electronically sign new patient forms and complete a questionnaire via our secure patient portal. These should be submitted at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if possible so your appointment can be tailored to your individual needs.
Typically, an adult initial consultation appointment will be 60 minutes. A child or adolescent initial consultation appointment is usually 90-120 minutes.
Chaney Psychiatry does not take insurance however we are happy to provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement.
