Dr. Michelle Chaney is a Harvard-trained board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist passionate about helping her patients meet their goals. Dr. Chaney understands that your mental health and the mental health of your family is of the utmost importance.
She seeks to know her patients and their families as individuals so that she can understand and care for them in the most effective way possible. Dr. Chaney is known for her warm, compassionate, and collaborative style. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders from childhood to adulthood.
She has designed her practice to provide patients with the time and attention they need and deserve. She welcomes each individual and family with an open-minded and patient-centered approach and works collaboratively to customize interventions specifically designed to meet their needs.

Consultation and Treatment
Dr. Chaney offers psychiatric consultation and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.
She engages her patients in a thorough evaluation process, thinks comprehensively about the many variables that could contribute to their challenges, and collaborates with them to determine the best treatment plan. Dr. Chaney has received expert education and experience using psychiatric medications as well as has extensive training in therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and family therapy. She is skilled in combining various styles to find a good fit for each individual.
Dr. Chaney provides significant education about the various treatment options. If medications are indicated, Dr. Chaney attempts to maximize their effects while minimizing doses and potential side effects. Dr. Chaney provides both therapy and medication management with many of her patients. She also enjoys working as part of a treatment team and will collaborate closely with other therapists, primary care physicians, teachers, and families to provide an integrated treatment approach.
