About

Dr. Chaney grew up in North Palm Beach, Florida. She graduated from Suncoast Community High School and received the International Baccalaureate Diploma. She then attended Harvard University, where she earned her degree in Economics. 

Having always loved working with children and families, Dr. Chaney taught elementary school at The American School in London before pursuing her medical education. Dr. Chaney went on to obtain her Masters of Science in Public Health (MScPH) from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she focused her research on improving health economic evaluation methodologies. Upon completing her degree, she returned to Florida, where she attended The University of Florida College of Medicine for medical school and her adult psychiatric residency training. During this time, the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society inducted Dr. Chaney due to her outstanding, empathetic, and patient-centered care.  

Dr. Chaney returned to Harvard University, where she completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Chaney served as a chief resident during her fellowship training. She has received many honors and awards for her work.  Dr. Chaney has presented research at national and international psychiatric conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters, and taught medical students at Harvard and The University of Florida.  Most recently, Dr. Chaney was on staff at Florida Atlantic University, where she provided psychiatric consultation and services to university students. 

Dr. Chaney is a member of The American Psychiatric Association, The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, The Florida Psychiatric Society, and The American Medical Association. She is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry as well as in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  

Having returned to South Florida to be closer to family and raise her children, Dr. Chaney is excited to provide outstanding and personalized psychiatric care to the people of Palm Beach County and surrounding communities.
